After weaving into grey fabric, it needs to undergo processes such as singeing, desizing, boiling, bleaching, and drying. Many processing steps cause the fabric to undergo a certain period of hot water or hot alkaline treatment, resulting in warp shrinkage (about 30%) and forming a comprehensive and uniform wrinkle pattern. Then, according to the needs, it is dyed or printed, and sometimes resin finishing is also carried out. When weaving, the fabric can also be rolled and wrinkled before shrinkage, followed by loose pre-treatment and dyeing and finishing. This can make the wrinkles on the fabric surface more fine, uniform, and regular, and then make various types of wrinkled fabrics with straight and fine lines. In addition, the weft direction can also be woven alternately with strong twisted yarn and regular yarn to create a crepe fabric with herringbone folds.
